The Department Metallic Materials and Structures offers materials testings and damage analysis in the field of mechanical engineering. Metallic materials for civil engineering are investigated, too. The staff of the department co-operates closely with the colleagues of the division for materials science in the IWT. This co-operation opens a wide potential of material research know how and testing equipment to our customers.
